The cloth masks we have been making and sharing are reusable. Wash your mask after each use, and always wash your hands after touching a used face covering.

Grandma Yuen recommends washing these masks on delicate or hand washing them. She also recommends hang drying. Do not dry in the dryer or mask may lose its shape.

The CDC recommends that when washing a mask, mix 1/3 cup household bleach per gallon of room temperature water and soak the mask for 5 minutes. Check your bleach before you use it! Some products may not be suitable for disinfection. Rinse thoroughly with cool/room temperature water. The CDC also recommends that if hang drying to do so in direct sunlight if possible.
